Earthquake

For the first time ever, I felt an earthquake. Lying in my bed while talking on the phone, I heard a large thunder-like rumble, and then as if I was on a roller coaster that was climbing up a steep sloap just before it goes soaring down the other side, my entire house started shaking. Immediately I told the friend I was with on the phone that I was literally shaking and that I truly thought a tornado was about to sweep my house up off of the ground. Of course, she thought I was crazy, and for a moment I thought I was indeed going crazy. Minutes later, I was looking at my news feed on FaceBook and realized that the rumbling and shaking was actually an EARTHQUAKE! I don't know about people in other places, but here in the state of Arkansas, we only know the precautions to take in case of a tornado or fire. Most people have heard to get underneath a door frame or run outside during an earthquake, but when you don't know what an earthquake really feels like then you are probably just going to sit still and hold on tight to whatever is around you, just like you would on a rollercoaster. As it turns out, this was the biggest earthquake the state of Arkasnas has seen in 35 years! Pretty cool in theory that I actually felt an earthquake shake my house, but is this just the start of many more to come? Not sure how I feel about whether or not the drilling around the Greenbrier has anything to do with all of this, but one thing I do know for sure.... drilling on a fault line can't be helping matters!
